Cake
We really don't have a particular design we are going for with our cake. What is important to us is that our cake taste GREAT!! I'm a cake person so my cake has to be delicious and I want the pieces to be big (well at least my piece). We know for sure we don't want fondant - we have to have butter cream frosting! We haven't gone cake tasting yet - so we don't have an idea what fillings we want - but I think we will be more traditional with our flavors. I think we both are excited to go to the cake tasting.
When we first started planning I was looking at cake designs and getting really frustrated. I didn't know if I wanted our theme "damask" on the cake or our monogram or what. But now after taking some time - I think what we are leaning more toward is a pretty simple white cake with fresh green flowers around it. I might, if our budget allows, buy a custom cake topper of us - I think that would be cute!
We are also going to get a grooms cake - he said he wants that to be of his fraternity seal - Kappa Alpha Psi!
